We’re Peter and Katie, and we met 16 years ago in the small Cornish village of Portreath. Pete was the keen sailor at first, but it wasn’t long before he hooked me into a life on the water too.

Our boating journey began with Moonlight Mariner, a Sadler 25 we bought on eBay. She was a great first yacht, but a few years later, we upsized to One Life, a Beneteau Oceanis 411. We spent many summers living aboard her in the Falmouth waters. It made our dream of sailing around the world as a family feel more achievable.

When the time came to focus on house renovations—and knowing we’d eventually need a bigger boat—we made the tough decision to sell One Life and spent a few years boatless. But when our dream was finally within reach, we searched high and low for the perfect yacht. After many months of hunting, we found her—Aurelia T of Falmouth. Now, as a family, we’re setting sail from Falmouth to circumnavigate the world!
